Brossier Saderne was entrusted with the task of lighting up the new wonder in Tignes!

The VoulezVous hotel is the latest creation from the Les Etincelles collection. This new luxury hotel group operates and develops renovation projects for hotels, residences and chalets in eight of France’s most renowned high altitude ski resorts: Tignes, La Rosière, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Les 2 Alpes, Alpe d’Huez, Val d’Isère and Val Thorens. By combining top of the range services, creativity and an environmentally friendly ethos, the group is seeking to create a new art-de-vivre in the mountains and aims to go above and beyond the expectations of its clients so as to ensure they leave with stars in their eyes!

The VoulezVous is a stunning 4 start hotel situated just 50 metres from the slopes and features architectural lines inspired by the Grande Motte Glacier which it overlooks.

As for the interior decoration, Interior Architect Xavier Cartron and his eponymous design agency were called upon to design this new hotel concept within the existing building. The result is a contemporary interpretation of traditional chalet codes.

This luxurious setting promises a cosy and welcoming atmosphere and avant-garde elegance. The choice of materials plays with the idea of hot and cold (wood, metal and glass) and perfectly complements the soft tones of the interior. As a reference to the glacier, the various spaces feature light colours such as white, cream and grey interspersed with shades of blue and natural materials such as oak wood which was chosen for its aestheticism, resistibility and sustainability.

The panoramic restaurant ‘Il Savoia’ offers a contemporary take on authentic Savoyard dining and has been decorated using materials such as stone, wood and copper. For the lighting, Brossier Saderne created an imposing ceiling light with a brushed and varnished copper finish composed of de 54 cylinders of varying diameters. They cast their glow on to the restaurant’s dishes inspired by the best of Duchy of Savoy gastronomy which is shared by France and Italy.

The 69 comfortably furnished bedrooms combine subtle intimacy with an artistic touch thanks to lighting fixtures designed by Luzeva, a subsidiary of Brossier Saderne. The Luzeva lamps and floor lamps offer a black metal structure and are somehow vintage yet industrial in their design. They contrast with the matt white minibar which was designed to resemble a block of ice as a nod to the glacier. The choice of colours and fabrics gives a cosy and welcoming feel to the interior.

With the VoulezVous Tignes le Lac Hotel, the Xavier Cartron agency has succeeded in telling a beautiful tale of contemporary design and turning this building into an architectural masterpiece.
